Labrang Shedhe

Labrang Shedhe arrived in America with his wife, Angela in 2009 after living in Northern India as a refugee. His family is from Tibet, but fled to India due to political problems. Feeling isolated from his culture here in America, he has found an outlet in carving stone and wood. He focuses on putting traditional Tibetan designs into functional furniture and decoration for homes. Carving helps him to preserve his rapidly disappearing culture, and part of the profits go towards helping fellow refugees in India.
